Our Team

Robert is the owner and co-founder of Saxet Petroleum, Inc. ("Saxet"). He brings over 32 years of experience in the oil and gas business and has founded several successful start-up oil and gas businesses. In 1992 he co-founded Saxet, an oil and gas exploration and production company, focusing its activities on participating in oil and gas prospects and acquiring oil and gas minerals and royalties. This was followed by the formation of Saxet Energy, Ltd., in 1998 with the private equity firm Quantum Energy Partners, a leading provider of private equity to the energy industry. The assets from these companies were monetized providing attractive returns to Saxet and its partners. In 2005, Robert formed Saxet Energy II, LP, its third exploration and production company, whose assets were monetized in 2013. In 2010, Robert pivoted his energy strategy to primarily focus on acquiring and managing oil and gas minerals and royalties, initially under Royalty Interests Partnership, LP, followed by Royalty Interests Partnership II, LP in 2011, Saxet I Minerals, LLC in 2014, Saxet II Minerals, LLC in 2017, RIP3, LP in 2017, Saxet III Minerals, LLC in 2018, SRO 22, LLC in 2022, and SRM 24, LLC in 2024. Presently, Robert serves as the President of Saxet, and the Manager of the General Partner of Royalty Interests Partnership, LP, SRO 22, LLC, and SRM 24, LLC. In these roles he oversees the day-to-day functions of Saxet's operations, including land, engineering, business development, and accounting. He is directly involved in each of the partnerships' business strategy execution, deal flow generation, acquisition, deal structuring, joint ventures, capital allocation and risk management, marketing and divestiture of assets, capital raising, and partner relations.

Robert graduated with a B.B.A. in Business Finance from Southern Methodist University in 1986.

Sia joined Saxet in June 2014 and has held various accounting and finance roles at Saxet. As CFO, Sia is responsible for evaluating potential acquisitions, monitoring and analyzing the performance of the company's current assets and ensuring the company's strategic objectives are adhered to, preparing and monitoring budgets, and preparing performance reports for investors and management, in addition to various other duties. Prior to joining Saxet, Sia served as Accounting Manager for a small operator based in Texas with operations in multiple states. Before her role as Accounting Manager, Sia worked at a local CPA firm where she gained fundamental accounting and tax knowledge she utilizes today.

Sia graduated cu laude from the University of Houston-Downtown with a B.B.A. in Accounting in 2010.

Amy has been with Saxet since 1996 and is currently responsible for managing the accounting staff and maintaining the books of Saxet and all related entities. Amy trains accounting staff and oversees all the daily functions in the accounting department, such as oil and gas revenue entry, accounts payable, and payroll, and she works with third-party auditors and tax preparers for year-end audits and tax returns.

Amy graduated with a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2002.

Jake joined Saxet in September 2019.  In his role at Saxet, Jake works with the land department on various land and royalty projects, assists the acquisitions department with land research and due diligence, and provides legal counsel to the company on various legal aspects.  Prior to joining Saxet, he worked at Contango Oil & Gas Company for over 7 years, starting as an In-House Landman and steadily rising to Senior Landman and providing legal counsel to the company on various legal aspects. Prior to this, Jake worked as contract In-House Landman for ConocoPhillips for 2 years.  He started his oil and gas career working as a contract Landman for Hollis Energy Services in 2008, researching title and procuring oil and gas leases in South Texas.

Jake graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Sam Houston State University in 2005 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2008.  He has been a licensed attorney in the State of Texas since 2009 and is an active member of The State Bar of Texas.

Emily began her career in 2005 with Saxet and is responsible for overseeing the processing and reconciling of revenue payments from oil and gas properties, accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliation. Emily also assists with management reporting by providing a quarterly financial analysis of the properties under management.

Emily graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2004 and a B.B.A. in Accounting, cum laude, from University of Houston-Downtown in 2012.

Lauren joined Saxet in January 2015, and her responsibilities include managing the office and supporting senior executives. Prior to joining Saxet, Lauren worked as a healthcare information systems consultant with Accenture, LLP, in Houston, Texas and then as an academic educator.

Lauren graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, cum laude, from Texas A&M University in 1996.
